Mr. George Yamoah founded Shekinah Glory F.C in June 2012, after leading the Roman Catholic Boys Basic School and J.H.S. to win the District inter schools competition and subsequently the super zonal. Players who participated in the super zonals were registered to participate in the Birim Central municipality colts league. Club was initially a colts club (under 13, under 15, under 17)
In October 2014, the Division 3 side was introduced to add up to the Colts. The club qualified to division 2 in its maiden edition of Division 3 league.
The club after qualifying from Division 3, has participated in the Division 2 league season from 2016
The club has a broad support base from Akim Swedru, Awisa, Aduasa, Achiase, Akim Oda, Akim Wenchi, Soabe, Takorase and neighbouring towns.
The club has the support of the town with the queen mother of Bosome Traditional area as life patroness. Other sub chiefs and prominent members of the town also support and give advice to the club.
On field, success has been a major part since the club came into being:
- February 2013 Winners gala tournament (Colts clubs in Birim Central)
- November 2014 Winners unity cup (Under 13, Under 17) Runners up (Under 15) – colts club in Birim central
- April 2015 Winners (ABYDASS Cup – Akim Swedru)
- December 2015 Winners (Division 3 league)
- October 2016 4th Place (Division 2 league)
- September 2018 2nd place Division 2 league(zone 10)
- July 2019 3rd place Eastern Cup(zone 10)
